Angela Frank for Anchorage Assembly

Here to make an impact on our community to improve this city together.

District 5, Seat H - East Anchorage

Concerns to Address:

  • Safety & Security

Having a crime rate significantly higher than the national average, our citizens need safer streets.

  • Shelter & Housing

Homelessness runs throughout our city as more and more people are displaced.

  • Wellness & Mental Health

Suicide rates in Alaska are nearly the highest in the nation and continue to increase.

“My commitment will be to support collaboration, communication, and community engagement.” - Angela

A Few Ideas for Solutions

  • Diversify Revenue Streams: Tourism expansion and retention, small business support, clean and maintain cleanliness especially in recreational areas such as parks and trails, offer willing homeless individuals paid work for this, increase restroom receptacles throughout city to reduce human waste and promote sanitation.

  • Refine Permitting Process for Housing: Meet with developers to identify pain points, analyze current fee structure, renew Title 21 to create clarity, review current zoning codes, reduce redundancy, strengthen communication and collaboration between permitting staff and developers, and use performance metrics to evaluate permit efficiency.

  • Improve Community Engagement: Request feedback from community members to access the municipality website i.e. is information clear and accessible, increase channels of communication, and diversify public input opportunities.

For Your Trust & Support, Thank You

I am not your cookie cutter politician. I have had the support of my family, friends and very kind community members who have reached out to me but otherwise I’m running this campaign solo. I also filed my campaign disclosure as exempt which means I’m spending (and receiving) less than $5,000 on this campaign. I think purchasing yard signs, campaign mail, cardstock brochures, banners etc. can be wasteful for a local election. Instead, I have done my best to answer every questionnaire and attend every council meeting, event, and interview that was requested of me. I’m here to be boots-on-the-ground, listening to members of our community for your expertise and input. Your voices matter and I want to hear them.

Let’s work together
